PADI

PADI is the Professional Association of Diving Instructors and has been teaching diving since the late 1960s. PADI is the largest recreational scuba diving organisation in the world, training approximately 80% of the world’s divers.

At Sandford and Down we aim to introduce you to the wonders of the underwater world in a relaxed and fun, yet professional atmosphere. In line with PADI standards, all of our courses are performance based and NOT time based. This means that we will progress at your pace and your are under NO pressure to complete a certain module of your course by a certain time.

Your training is provided in small groups (usually no more than 4 students) and 1:1 tuition is available if required. Confined water training takes place in a local swimming pool where we have sole use of the whole facility; ensuring that you are not distracted from your training. Open water training takes place at either an inland site, or at one of the many superb sites available on the coast between Brixham and Kingsands.

Our course fees are inclusive of most training materials and all your tuition, plus for the Open Water and Adventure Diving programmes the fees include kit hire.

All the training staff at Sandford and Down are members of PADI, and all staff and training comply with PADI standards and HSE diving regulations.
